FORK Autumn and Winter gatherings

On the 15th December 2009 at 10.30 and also in the new year on 15th January 2010 there will be an open invite to any FORK who wishes to come along to Ha’penny Bridge house (HBH) for a local nature walk / explore and to enjoyed, an animated talk given Charles T on opportunities for members and ongoing projects.

Members are requested to come along suitable dressed for the out of doors , however some equipment can be issued on the day from the WBN store.

The day will start with some introductions to break the ice and then a low level ramble with some points of interest being given by our resident Eco adventure outfit Wild By nature, however, members will be invited to contribute and share any points concerning nature and heritage.

This will be followed at around 2.30 in the afternoon by Teas and Coffees with a hint of whisky (called gunfire, I understand), whilst enjoying a talk in HBH. These two winter events promises to be a great opportunity to catch up, network and enjoyed. It is planned to finish for about 3.30 and cost as usual is absolutely free . For those interested follow links via web site to book or contact Charles T direct.

Hope to be there but can’t be certain. Car battery problems today meant my rescheduling the rest of week. L

Under Charles instruction we had a HBH clear out and recycle, just sorting through broken or unused items and ensuring all was ready for this coming Easter , where it is hoped the place will once again be used by community groups. Amongst other items on the agenda was a meeting concerning Charlse’s progress concerning HBH . All are welcome to assist please speak with Charles Thompson .

Hi FORKS just to let you know that I am no longer able to assist with planning FORK activities and am not on the Committee anymore. Your members activity request will now be dealt with by Charles along with any Health and Safety issues . I hope you will continue to generate some great activities such as the winter gatherings , cycle events and nature walks. See you out and about .
