Hi there just a reminder that there is an open invite to come along to HBH on this Friday 15th January, for a nature walk and coffee. An informal gathering aimed just for people to enjoy the area and share Natural history and heritage knowledge. Dress for a cold winters day and turn up for 10.30 am. It is a second of these fork activities and I will be the first aid qualified FORK volunteer . Thanks .

The nature walk is now not running due to lack of interest , although HBH will be open for those interested to drop in and have a cofee and chat .. all welcome between 10.30 and 14.30

HI it is cliff here again as you know I am on the commitee to promote Outdoor activity , I understand that Allan has prepared an interesting talk focusing on small beasties, I have been lucky enough to catch one of Charles talks too, and HBH will be open from 10.30 onwards . So remember before the end of today express an interest to attend via the web site . Obviously no interest means no event .

Today a bird watcher came to HBH and said that they had seen a Brambling and a red wing close by . There has also been regular sightings of Comorant and a dipper.

Obviously the river is running very fast and it is in flood , so extreme caution required when working on its Margins. This will probably now be the case until March 2010. Please take care

There will be a FORK/WBN nature walk, interet talk with hot drinks and equipment provided , an open invite to all members on the 15th Decemeber 09 and also on the 15th January 09 . Facilitated by Allan S and Charles T , who are responsible for staffing HBH and improving the place along with generating interest for FORKS… come along .

Two Nature walks, FORK interest talks with Teas and coffees are being proposed for Mid Decemeber and January . Walks will be an opportunity for FORKS to share their passion for the Kelvin corridor or learn something more. Followed by a getting warm session and talk by Charles T at HBH . These events will be quite social and be faciliated by FORK and WBN working together … please watch this space for more details and come along .
