Autumn Canoe Safari – 8th October

UPDATE:  Sorry -  All places now taken

Good news!

Due to members request and a lack of interest in the Kelvin river descent, it is proposed that FORK in association with our resident Eco adventure outfit Wild by Nature will be running An Autumn classic canoe safari on the 8th October 09.

This time adventurers will aim to paddle through the narrows to gain the Island of Inchmoan (Loch Lomond). Long sandy beaches, isolated colony of deer and an old monastic settlement are located here . The island has long been assoctiated with the digging of peat . No experience needed all training will be given, this is a free event for FORK members.

Members are encouraged to make their memberships go further and come along .

Interested parties will have to express an interest via the FORK web site (Using the form below), in order to collate numbers and current members are legible to attend.

For more info see the documents at the bottom of this post and read the report of the previous Safari

Autumn Canoe Safari 8 October 09
After some consultation, I am delighted to have been able to tailor this Autumn canoe safari to Fork’s needs a little better. This safari will aim to visit the remote Island of Inch moan. Clad off  in its Autumn colours, this Island boasts long beaches, a monastic settlement and great photographic opportunities. I have often seen a large solitary stag whilst exploring the Island .Wild by Nature have also brought it forward slightly to reduce the chill factor for you, somewhat.
Those with some knowledge and the complete novice are welcome, it is a great day out with lots of fun and debate .Remember to bring a camera and wrap up warm …. make your membership go further and take advantage of this completely free FORK arranged canoe safari.
