Children’s Outdoor Adventure Club
Steven Findlay is developing a Children’s Outdoor Adventure Club starting on 25 April based in Dawsholm Park. The club would provide children aged 5–12 years with opportunities to take part in a variety of activities from Outdoor Play, Adventure Walks, Orienteering, Environmental Arts and Nature Activities, among others.
We have agreed to help with this as we have an interest in Dawsholm Park because our river flows through the park. The partners so far include Countryside Rangers, Park Rangers, Depot Arts, Play Service, Friends of Dawsholm Park, BTCV, and Land & Environmental Services Biodiversity Officers.
A launch event for the Club is being held on Saturday 18 April, 10am–3pm at Dawsholm Park. Would anyone be interested in helping out on that day in the park? I will be on the telephone to seek volunteers anyway if I do not hear from sufficient people!
